Christopher Braun

I was born in Madison, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison getting my Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology & Immunology.  I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern University of Health Sciences in Minneapolis.

After living most of my life in rental units, I feel I am more than qualified to know what a renter's life is like.  Before moving to Santa Monica 6 years ago (after graduation), I moved apartments an average of once a year.  The main reason was the amount my rent was increased each year.  I was constantly in search of a place that was within my budget.  Rent control in Santa Monica has stabilized my life and allowed me to feel "at home."  Because of this, I would like the opportunity to give back to Santa Monica and serve the residents and the city on the Rent Control Board.
